The MGM Grand Garden Arena is located in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is patterned after New York's Madison Square Garden.
The arena has a seating capacity of 17,157 people and is located at 3799 Las Vegas Boulevard South.
Where was the pre-show party?
The pre-show party (both nights) will be held at Zuri Bar, located inside the MGM Grand and a short walk from the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The official start time is 3:00 pm, but I'm sure there will be some of us that will arrive early. When you enter the main entrance of the MGM Grand go passed the front desk and Zuri Bar will be located on the right hand side as you enter the casino area.
Zuri Bar is also the place we all meet up right after the shows.
Located not far away from the Zuri Bar is... Fat Tuesday's - Located in MGM Grand in the Star Lane Shops - take down escalator
by main entrance (they have great daiquiris in large cups for reasonable prices). You can grab a large daiquiris and then head
back to Zuri Bar.

Here's my take on the hotel situation... You want to stay somewhere close that is walkable. The hotel/casinos on the Las Vegas strip are huge. So, anything further than right next door or across the street from the MGM Grand is a far walk. Any further and you're taking taxis. And if you're willing to take taxis then why not spend a little bit more and stay at the MGM or at least some place right there in the heart of the DMB action. Now, if you wanna go cheap, then do the motel 6. It's a decent cheap hotel and it's right across the street.
