WILDHORSE CAMPGROUND
(Official Campground of TOUPSTOWN)
Instead, vehicles are parked next to each other along the roads and your camping spot/area is behind the cars creating a great communal area in the middle. There is nice fluffy green grass that was once described as a "long-haired golf course" (when you see and feel it, this will make a lot more sense). A few trees are scattered around providing some morning and afternoon shade.

  • The CORRAL CAFE is awesome and not expensive. The breakfast burritos and free coffee are a godsend for hangover mornings. They serve burgers, wraps, sandwiches, salads, etc. all day and they're open after the show for midnight hunger. It is pretty awesome food. Most people usually plan on eating most of their meals there so they don't have to buy groceries, pack, and cook their meals
  • There are 8 private showers that are open to the sky. The hot water usually lasts all day. The only thing is the wait can be kind of long. Don't forget to bring your flip-flops for showering. And, girls... yes, there are electrical outlets. If the wait is too long and you can handle cold water, there are several outdoor showers out in the open that some people use.
  • Other awesome things about Wildhorse:
    • Honey Buckets (porta-potties) that are cleaned a couple of times a day and are usually super clean
    • And did I mention FREE coffee in the morning?
If you want to stay here, you should buy a camping pass as soon as the dates are confirmed. It will sell out and it will sell out fast. The price for the camping pass for DMB weekend is $120 per vehicle for up to 4 persons. Each additional person is $40 each. RV passes are available at a higher rate. If for some reason you end up not being able to go, you can sell your pass. If you do sell/buy a pass, you will need to provide the buyer with a copy of the drivers license of the name of the person who originally purchased the pass.

GORGE CAMPGROUND
This campground is conveniently located adjacent to the amphitheatre with a private pathway connecting the them together. There are 4 camping options, each with its own set of amenities:
  • General camping
  • Premier camping
  • Terrace camping
  • Glamping

cache/wst.opf.2358851.xml
The Gorge Campground is a big meadow with more Honey Buckets (porta-potties) than you've ever see. It also has sinks with running water, and garbage pick-up. There are showers and a small general store on site. It has room for literally thousands of cars and people. It has no shade; bring your own tarp or sun shelter. It's about a 20 minute walk from the campground to the Amphitheatre. It's the only campground you can walk to/from the venue. There is no rhyme and reason to where the parking security folks will make you park. However, once they've put you in a spot and filled in an area, you are free to move to another part of the campground if you'd like to camp with friends or in a different area. They won't let you save spots for friends who haven't arrived yet. Like life, security only finds the stupid ones. As Forrest Gump said, "stupid is as stupid does". If you're discreet, you'll have fun. If you feel the need to bring five kegs and a PA system for your stereo, you will draw the attention of security and the county sheriff. On the other hand, if you keep your stereo turned down to a reasonable level, keep your alcohol in colored plastic cups (as opposed to bottles and cans) and smoke your weed out of sight, you'll be fine. Be discreet and the cops and security will leave you alone; just like the real world! Contrary to some posts, you are allowed to leave the campground.

VANTAGE CAMPGROUND
Located right along I-90 in the rest-area town of Vantage, the campground has access to the river, is very DMB-fan friendly, and is a popular spot. The sites are on lush grass but are exposed to sun and wind. Also, you will hear the roar of traffic on nearby I-90 24 hours a day.

POTHOLES STATE PARK
This State Park also has nice facilities, however it's about an hour drive to and from the venue. It's on Potholes Reservoir, has a boat launch, a nice swimming beach, and some nice grassy campsites. It also has some not so nice campsites with lots of gravel and snake-infested tall grass, weeds and shrubs.

DOWN BY THE RIVER
There are also a few spots along the river where you can drive off the highway and find a place to park your car and set up a tent. These places are on the east side of the river, just south of I-90. These sites are dusty and windy. Keep in mind you are in rattlesnake country. But the price is right.
