The Hollywood Bowl is a famous modern amphitheatre in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles, California, USA, that is used primarily for music performances.

Open-air concert venue, Opened July 11, 1922 with a concert by the Los Angeles Philharmonic (conductor: Alfred Hertz). 1926 seating area rebuilding by Myron Hunt. 1926 addition of a music shell. 1927 and 1928 music shell rebuildings by Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright). 1929 music shell rebuilding after the 1928 design. 1980 addition of fiberglass spheres by Frank Gehry. Major renovations since 1995. Summer home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, home to the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.  

It has a seating capacity of 17,376.
